Property information
Aberturret is a lovely traditional cottage set in the grounds of an old Dower House close to the River Turret on the outskirts of the popular tourist town of Crieff. Tastefully decorated throughout, the cottage provides comfortable and cosy accommodation. It is well equipped throughout and has lots of books, games and videos for you to enjoy. Aberturret Cottage has its own huge garden (complete with river running through) and lots of mature plants and trees.
"Many thanks this was the best cottage we have ever had and hope to return in the future (Aberturret)".
There are a series of delightful walks from the cottage doorstep and the area is also excellent for cycling - particularly mountain biking. Crieff is just one mile away and has extensive shops, restaurants, a leisure pool and tennis courts. There are two 18-hole golf courses (one a short walk away from the cottage). We even have a distillery (Scotland’s oldest) just a couple of minutes’ walk from the cottage.
Aberturret Cottage provides an excellent base for your stay in Perthshire. The scenery surrounding Crieff is magnificent with the rivers Earn and Turret providing the contrast with the peaks of the surrounding mountains. Within close reach are Callander and The Trossachs, famous castles such as Stirling and Blair Atholl, while the West Coast, Perth, Edinburgh and Fife are easily accessible for a day’s visit.
