Dall Mill offers superb holiday setting, in 5 acres stretching to the loch on the edge of ancient Caledonian pine forest, the Black Wood, 5 miles from Kinloch Ranoch. The nearby mountains of Schiehallion and Ben Lawers are Munros. This is 'birding' and wildlife paradise, red squirrels and deer are regular visitors. Activity holidays, walking, biking, and sailing on the doorstep. For those who want to relax, the house is warm and comfortable with plenty of space. It has a superb first floor living room with a wood burning stove and a balcony looking towards the loch on which to catch the sunset. Guest will find a large selection of jigsaws, games, books, CDs and videos, Sky TV and WiFi.
The grounds at Dall Mill are lovely and it is a very peaceful and beautiful place to holiday. The house has a spacious entrance porch, great for leaving boots after a walk. There is a utility room downstairs too with washing machine, tumble drier and ironing facilities. The double bedroom on the ground floor has en suite facilities with a shower over the bath. There are three further twin bedrooms on the ground floor and a bathroom with shower over the bath. The upper floor twin bedroom has a shower room opposite. The kitchen and dining area is large and has lovely views into the trees; a wonderful place to cook and eat with wildlife watching thrown in! The large sittingroom is perfect for getting everyone together and the log fire is a focal point of the room on chilly evenings and the balcony with views down to the Loch completes this very handsome room. Visitors to Dall Mill can look forward to a stay in a very special holiday in a wonderful former Mill. The owners have continually improved the facilities in Dall Mill and in the grounds over a perod of more than10 years. Bring your binoculars and walking boots to make the most of these spectacular surroundings.
The prices quoted are for 10 persons using 5 bedrooms. Last minute discounts and discounts for 2 persons only may be available on request. Boats and bikes may be hired locally. An unusual day out is to take the train from Rannoch Station to the West Coast at Mallaig where the ferry leaves for Skye. Shop and hotels in nearby Kinloch Rannoch, with good food served to non-residents. Blair Castle, Castle Menzies and the delightful towns of Pitlochry and Aberfeldy are close. The House of Bruar has extensive high class shopping and at Loch Tay there is a fascinating re-construction of a Crannog (ancient loch dwelling).
