River View Cottage sits on the banks of the River Tay in the beautiful conservation village of Kenmore. This spacious cottage sleeps 6 and has 2 double rooms, one with en-suite shower, and 1 twin room, perfect for a family holiday in Perthshire.

Recently refurbished to a very high standard, the cottage is split over three levels with the entrance into an open plan living space with sitting room, dining and kitchen areas. Downstairs is the master en-suite bedroom with a four-poster bed. Upstairs are the double and twin rooms. There is a luxury family bathroom with separate bath, shower, toilet and wash basin.

Outside is a deck area overlooking the River Tay a great place to relax of an evening after a day climbing Munros or enjoying the many activities available locally.

The village boasts excellent facilities including a Pub, bistro, restaurant, deli, gift shop and Post Office.

Surrounding Area
The village of Kenmore at the eastern end of Loch Tay is surrounded by some of Scotland’s most stunning scenery. Queen Victoria spent her honeymoon at Taymouth Castle and it was this visit that started her love affair with Scotland.
As well as the natural beauty of Highland Perthshire, there are a huge number of activities to enjoy in the area. Whether it is a relaxing picnic by the loch side, golfing, fishing, or more extreme outdoor pursuits, you can find it nearby.
Ben Lawers Nature Reserve beside Loch Tay offers great walks for nature lovers.
Fortingall village is just a few miles away and has beautiful thatched cottages and Britain’s oldest tree.

Walkers have the choice of seven Munros within ten miles, including Ben Lawers and Schiehallion.

The City of Perth is around a 30 minute drive where you can see St John’s Kirk, the Black Watch Museum, the Duncan Fergusson Art Gallery, the Museum and Art Gallery, NTS Branklyn Garden and Scone Palace. It has a world-class concert hall and excellent places to eat out.
Pitlochy is slightly closer and offers good shopping and eating out as well as visits to Edradour Distillery, the dam and fish ladder and Pitlochry Festival Theatre. In season, book up for the Enchanted Forest experience. Beyond Pitlochry is the House of Bruar, Scotland’s Harrods of the North, and Blair Castle – where the Duke of Atholl has his own private army!
